Creating a piece of jewellery of the Tiffany style. Leaded, stained glass is a decorative craft that combines glass (often coloured) with lead and lends itself to a multitude of situations – to decorate ancient as well as modern interiors (lamps, tabletops …). During this workshop you’ll be immersed in the atmosphere of one of the most ancient craft ateliers of the region, under the guidance of a very talented young craftsman.
- Introduction to the workshop. Brief history of leaded, stained glass and of the trade of master stained-glassmaker. Explanation of the work involved in creating an object in stained glass.
- Cutting out the stained glass pieces, painting on glass
- Setting the stained glass in lead
- Soldering and counter-soldering with brass
- Setting the painted piece
- Final cleaning of the leaded, stained glass
